Ok here it goes...I will attemptttttt a blog. I was actually hoping to do this more near December 23, to mark a big transition in my life that is going to take place. I wanted a place to take my friends and loved ones along on a journey with me. A journey (not thru the twilight zone)but across the Atlantic. I was hoping to share my thoughts, my emotions, and many pics along the way as I move back to Italy...or in the words of my dad "Italia I go". Please dont get me wrong, I am very very excited...just very nervous at the same time. This will be the first time since I was like 2 (29 yrs later) that I will live out my favorite Xmas song. Yes I will be home for Christmas (barring no airplane delays and emergency landing in new greenland). It will be interesting Have a Xmas in a new place, a whole chunk of Family around, and a new world of possibilties that await as I start a "new life". As I look around this huge empty house...(I kid not its very empty)...It just makes me hope that the next 3 months will go just as fast as this whole year. I am sooooo not a solitary person. Me by myself inspires me to do very very crazy like/daredevil things on a whim. Dont believe me? Just ask Stacey and Lisa
;-)~ But in any case...before I go though I want to explain some things... the title of this blog IS NOT Italian, Its Napolitan...so all of you trying to look at an Italian Dictionary thru my posts will not find it lol. Oj Nenna Ne roughly means my little sweetheart. It also happens to be the title of the youtube link I posted. I showed this clip as an introduction for for 2 reasons
1.) The song is very beautiful and strong if you understand the words. Napolitans use special instruments and dialogues when creating songs and if you can listen close you can hear them
2.) the video show shows some gorgeous location shots which I am trying to use to convince friends to come vist. (forgetta about France lol) For those of who that Brave the Trip to Italia, You will have an awesome tour guide that awaits......I am not above bribing with homemade wine and fresh cannolis ;-)~
Sincerely
Sole (sun) MAre (beach) & amore (love)
